From the 25th May 2018 new privacy laws come into effect in the United Kingdom known as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These laws apply to all organisations who hold personal data about you. These include any details that can be used to identify you, such as, your name, home or email address.
GDPR states that all personal data must be secure and kept up to date. The law gives everyone the right to decide how they want to be contacted and how their data is used. It gives people the option to access this information easily and to ask for changes.
